Responsibilities
- Ensures highest degree of operations and customer satisfaction.
- Builds systems and processes to ensure quality operations occur.
- Determines, implements, and updates policies and procedures for all food and beverage areas in conjunction with Manager.
- Accomplishes departmental objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Institutes cost control procedures and standards of performance and ensures all operational expenses are within budget.
- Safeguards hiring practices, employee disciplinary actions, and expectations of employees in accordance with operating procedures.
- Reports department activity to Manager regularly.
- Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
- Maintains attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong leadership, employee relations, communication, managerial, and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to train, follow, and execute training manuals.
- 5 years of restaurant industry work, including two to three years progressive supervisory experience in a hotel or chain restaurant environment.
- Must have good analytical abilities.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to coach co-workers and work as a team for success.
- Nevada Food Handler’s Certification
- Nevada Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Nevada Non-gaming (Sheriff’s) Certification
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the property.
- Must be able to lift to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when working at assigned desk area.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
