About the role

Cannabis & Glass is a leading recreational dispensary chain in Eastern Washington and Oregon, with stores in North Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, and Ontario. The Assistant Manager role involves setting the tone for team performance, driving store operations, managing cash and inventory, coaching staff, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations including compliance, cleanliness, and team execution
• Manage and reconcile all cash operations — vault, registers, pickups, and EOD reports
• Oversee end-to-end inventory control including receiving, audits, adjustments, and vendor returns
• Coach and develop employees to deliver best-in-class customer service and meet sales goals
• Execute promotions, merchandising plans, and online/kiosk order management
• Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure positive resolutions
• Partner with corporate departments on procurement, HR, and marketing initiatives
• Maintain schedule flexibility, reliability, and professional leadership standards at all times

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail or hospitality leadership experience; cannabis experience a plus
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of up to 25 employees per shift
• Familiarity with POS, kiosk, or order management systems
• Strong cash handling, reporting, and KPI tracking capabilities
• Calm under pressure with strong conflict resolution skills
• Highly reliable, hands-on, and customer-oriented
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must be 21+ and meet all Oregon state requirements for cannabis industry employment
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass a background check per Oregon state regulations
