Assistant Manager

About the role

The Tile Shop, founded in 1985, inspires and realizes home decor ideas with a global selection of high-quality tile products. As a leader, you will build and develop a well-rounded team of Sales Associates, drive sales, and maintain the brand’s high standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop a team of Sales Associates through training and coaching on policies, procedures, and job duties.
• Proactively greet customers and develop lasting relationships to exceed sales expectations.
• Sell tile and related products while educating customers on installation processes and product knowledge.
• Learn and use knowledge of all store and warehouse operations to lead by example and achieve sales goals.
• Track and meet established store sales goals, providing customers with updates on product delivery status.
• Maintain professional standards to uphold The Tile Shop brand.
• Develop schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Use good business practices at all times and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have weekend availability.
• 1+ years of experience in retail management.
• Previous sales experience with a proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team.
• Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, commission-based sales environment.
• Open to learning and growing independently and from feedback.
• Lead with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess a sense of design to combine styles, colors, and textures.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Previous experience in a related field preferred.

Pay

First-year income expected to be $60,000–$75,000 at target.
