Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for controlling day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, conducting performance appraisals, counseling, motivating, and training the entire team, including developing Assistant Managers, building sales to meet and exceed store plans through Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement, ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program, and interpreting Profit and Loss Statements.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling labor
• Ordering food and supplies
• Developing the restaurant team
• Fulfilling OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures
• Maintaining inventory
• Managing labor
• Reviewing financial reports
• Taking appropriate actions
• Ensuring compliance with Human Resources practices and applicable labor laws
• Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
• Conducting performance appraisals, counseling, motivating, and training the entire team
• Building sales to meet and exceed store plan
• Utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement
• Maintaining company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds
• Using a preventative maintenance program
• Interpreting Profit and Loss Statements

Requirements

• Minimum of six months Popeyes managerial experience or one year of General Manager experience with another concept or recommendation from an Area Manager
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• The ability to calculate and analyze data
• Display effective leadership skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels
• Computer literacy
