About the role

The Assistant Manager at McDonald’s company-owned and independent restaurants is a key position that involves overseeing various departments within the restaurant to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
• Set goals and delegate tasks to your teams
• Follow up on tasks and report results to your team and other managers
• Oversee the Guest Service Department, ensuring Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, sales promotions are done well, all service staff are trained in service procedures, and the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service
• Oversee the Kitchen Department, ensuring the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, fast, and safe, watching food costs and ensuring all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new items added to the menu
• Oversee the People Department, making sure the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals, and ensuring Crew get off to a good start at the restaurant and are recognized and motivated throughout their time working there

Requirements

• Experience managing teams and delegating tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food safety and inventory management principles
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar managerial role
