About the role
The Assistant Manager at McDonald’s company-owned and independent restaurants is a key position that involves managing various departments within the restaurant. This role requires overseeing multiple aspects of the restaurant to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Managing assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
Setting goals and delegating tasks to the team.
Following up on tasks and reporting results to the team and other managers.
Overseeing the Guest Service Department:
Making sure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
Sales promotions are done well.
All service staff are trained in service procedures.
The Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
Overseeing the Kitchen Department:
Making sure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, fast, and safely.
Watching food costs and ensuring all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new items added to the menu.
Overseeing the People Department:
Making sure the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
Ensuring Crew get off to a good start at the restaurant and that they are recognized and motivated throughout their time working there.
Requirements
Must have a strong understanding of McDonald’s systems and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience in management or leadership roles preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
Ability to motivate and train employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications or training may be required based on the specific needs of the restaurant.
