Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in supervising store operations, including recruiting, management, training, and sales functions. This role drives productivity, ensures policy compliance, and creates a great in-store shopping experience for customers at the Camarillo Premium store location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent while maintaining a positive work environment that encourages high store morale and teamwork.
• Coach, teach, and train Sales Associates for effective job performance.
• Partner with the Store Manager to identify high-performing Sales Associates and support their growth.
• Participate in the hiring process for Sales Associates, including interviews and feedback to the Store Manager.
• Support business analysis and execute action plans to optimize results and operational activities.
• Oversee daily store operations, including sales floor coverage, merchandise flow (shipment, replenishment, omnichannel operations), and adherence to company policies.
• Manage the execution of store strategy to achieve performance goals, including merchandising, operations, loyalty programs, and other initiatives.
• Lead by example in proactive customer engagement to exceed expectations, including greeting customers, sharing product/promotion information, and resolving complaints.
• Maintain visual standards and ensure a positive in-store experience.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant job experience.
• Proficient in technology (e.g., iPad, registers).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Meets physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Proven ability to drive sales results.
• Strong communication skills.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Prior sales management experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $19.20 - $28.40 per hour. Actual compensation depends on factors including work location, education, relevant skills, and experience.
