Assistant Manager

Founded in 2006 by sisters Vivien and Fernanda Böhme—immigrants from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil—Böhme is driven by Vivien’s business acumen as CEO and Fernanda’s design expertise as Creative Director. Today, we operate stores across the western U.S. and employ over 200 women.
About the role
We are seeking an outgoing, professional Assistant Manager to collaborate with the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations. Responsibilities include driving sales and profit, controlling expenses and inventory, recruiting and developing employees, maintaining visual and floor standards, and strengthening the Böhme brand.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, recommend, and interview potential employee candidates for the store.
- Train Sales Associates and Sales Leads to develop their skills and support career progression.
- Identify performance issues or policy violations and take appropriate disciplinary action.
- Assist in developing staff work schedules, including meal and break periods, overtime, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Train, supervise, and motivate sales staff to meet store and individual sales goals.
- Promote and motivate staff during company sales contests.
- Resolve customer service concerns professionally.
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation and visual merchandising, and supervise inventory flow.
- Oversee cash handling, bank procedures, and timely accounting of all cash flow.
- Stay updated on and train staff in POS usage and related store technology.
- Secure Böhme assets, maintain loss prevention standards, and uphold operational protocols.
- Assume authority for all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, prioritizing responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- At least one year of retail management experience or equivalent education.
- Proficiency in retail mathematical equations.
- Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate POS systems and other store computer applications.
Pay
$20–$23 USD per hour (Gallatin Crossing location).
