Assistant Manager - Aircraft Maintenance
About the role
The Assistant Manager of Aircraft Maintenance Operations oversees daily operations, supervises and coordinates all maintenance activities, ensures compliance with FAA requirements and company guidelines, and supports the team through structured problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of daily operations, supervise and coordinate all maintenance functions on shift at the assigned location
- Ensure operational, administrative, and technical areas are performing safely and in compliance with established procedures
- Align station performance goals with divisional and company objectives
- Track and analyze department performance, identify issues, and engage in structured problem-solving
- Prepare for the next shift and contribute to station success
- Backfill for shift manager when needed
- Set performance standards for supervisors and technicians, gain their commitment under Company guidelines and CBA (if applicable)
- Lead by example, provide feedback, coaching, and recognition
- Facilitate in-person training and presentations as required
- Organize and track projects to maximize change management and successful implementation
- Support investigations into performance, safety, complaints, and other work-related issues
- Maintain regular and prompt communication with team members
- Oversee safety and security of aircraft and operations to ensure compliance with Technical Operations activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required
- Minimum two years' experience in a Supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations
- Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures
- Valid driver's license

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $138,029.40 to $168,702.60. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
