About the role

The Assistant Manager at Rack Room Shoes, Store Number 3059, assists the Store Manager in managing all day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customers.
• Conduct all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Manage sales, discounts, and refunds.
• Execute loyalty program open/closing procedures.
• Control inventory, adhering to all policies and procedures regarding shipping and receiving, price management, and damaged merchandise.
• Manage sales floor merchandising and visual presentation, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Coordinate promotional events, materials, and signage.
• Manage payroll control, adhering to policies and procedures regarding scheduling, payroll budget compliance, time and attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports, adhering to policies and procedures regarding utilization of available training tools and reinforcement of operational standards.
• Manage loss prevention, adhering to policies and procedures regarding the protection and control of all company assets.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of footwear, accessories, and shoe care.
