Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
- Set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your team does the same.
- Manage staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, and adherence to standards.
- Ensure store cleanliness, profitability, and great customer service.
- Maintain punctuality, attendance, and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Operate equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, and process orders (phone and in-person).
- Conduct inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
- For delivery roles: Deliver pizzas and promotional materials (flyers, door hangers) to customers within a designated area.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give clear written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and making correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., using a keyboard, touch screen, or pizza peel).
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, including multi-story buildings and private homes.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (for delivery roles).
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries (for delivery roles).
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when taking out trash or making deliveries).
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F+).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts in the work environment.
- Sensory requirements: Talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision for tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
- Temperament: Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments/decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed standing, with work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck; stack cases onto shelves up to 72" high. Carry pizza sauce (30 lbs), dough trays (12 lbs each), and pizzas/beverages during deliveries.
- Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
- Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or washing walls; delivery personnel may climb five+ flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for shaping dough, using a pizza peel, cutting pizzas, assembling boxes, and handling tools/equipment (e.g., phones, calculators, pizza cutters).
