Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Work independently in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts with clients and vendors, including engagement letters, IT vendor agreements, consulting agreements, data license agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, and office contracts.
- Analyze contract terms to identify and mitigate risks and work collaboratively with consulting and administrative teams (Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Technology and Security, and Operations) regarding contractual obligations.
- Provide practical legal advice to consulting and administrative staff on a diverse range of topics, involving legal research and collaborating with legal team colleagues on long-term projects pertaining to legal subject areas that are a priority for the firm.
- Aid in risk management on a firm-wide basis, working on improvements of certain business processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk to the firm.
Qualifications
- JD required.
- Minimum of four years of legal experience required.
- Minimum of five to eight years of substantive relevant experience preferred.
- Prior experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and ability to tailor advice to circumstances at hand.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with litigation support, AI vendors, pharmaceutical research, and/or data privacy matters is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
