Position Summary
This position is a dual role that will culminate in a 40-hour work week. The primary responsibility will be to work shifts in the kitchen that directly affect our onsite dining establishment, Cadranel’s Corner. Additional responsibility includes running youth classes with pre-school through elementary-aged children.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain all levels of kitchen cleanliness and sanitation practices
- Learn and mimic menu items as stated by standardized recipes set forth
- Execute the culinary classes as designed to maintain quality of program
- Transport children from Weinstein school to and from kitchen for classes
Education/Experience
- Has worked with children of all ages
- Has basic kitchen knowledge and safety sanitation knowledge
- ServSafe certified; preferred but not required (if not certified, JCC will schedule a training/exam)
- CPR certified; preferred but not required (if not certified, the JCC will schedule a training exam)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to work with children of all ages; requires extreme patience
- Show initiative
- Friendly, engaging demeanor with guests
- Needs reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to be mobile and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work flexible hours in an environment with constant mobility
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
