Assistant Kitchen Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervises and oversees the production of food
• In conjunction with all management, enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility
• Makes sure tickets are monitored and set the pace during peak hours
• Manages through “hands on” supervision of the restaurant, including non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, etc.
• Conducts formal line Taste and Temp checks
• Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
• Manages inventory and tracks waste
• Maintains cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment directly or through staff
• Monitors and ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales
• Understands and practices safe food handling procedures
• Ensures Back of House employees are following established recipes and procedures
• Creates a safe environment and assists in developing Back of House employees
• Maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of our guests
• Ensures that the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of our guests are maintained at all times

Qualifications

• A passion for made from scratch Legendary Food
• Able to manage through “hands on” supervision of the restaurant, including non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking, etc.
• Experience in managing inventory and tracking waste
• Experience in ensuring proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
• Experience in monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment
• Experience in understanding and practicing safe food handling procedures
• Experience in ensuring consistency in food and service to increase sales
• Experience in creating a safe environment and assisting in developing Back of House employees
• Experience in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of our guests
