About the Role
Work in a manner consistent with the mission of Burrito Gallery, monitor sanitation practices, and manage kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Maintain appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen areas.
- Inspect and maintain food quality and temperature controls.
- Estimate and order food and supplies.
- Control food costs and usage.
- Instruct and coordinate kitchen staff.
- Schedule personnel and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Inspect and maintain equipment and work areas.
- Plan and price menu items, establish portion sizes, and prepare recipe cards.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including training and discipline.
- Prepare and cook various dishes, and assist with special events.
- Manage inventory and collaborate with sales representatives.
- Attend meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Support guest service standards and operations.
- Fill-in for absent staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food service management or related field.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid Food Handlers Permit.
- Experience with kitchen equipment and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
