Assistant Junior High Girls Basketball Coach 2026-2027

About the Role

The assistant coach reports directly to the head coach and, with the head coach’s approval, is responsible for all aspects of the team as assigned by the head coach.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties assigned by the head coach, as applicable
• Assist the head coach with any duties they may assign
• Serve as junior varsity coach
• Implement the program developed by the head coach
• Teach fundamental skills and apply sound teaching techniques to participants

Supervision

The assistant coach is directly supervised by the head coach and is expected to establish lines of communication and cooperation with:

• Central office
• High school principal
• Athletic director
• Head coach
• Students
• Parents and the community
