Assistant Junior High Boys Wrestling Coach 2026-2027

About the Role

The assistant coach reports directly to the head coach and, with the head coach’s approval, is responsible for all aspects of the team as assigned. The fundamental responsibility is to implement the program developed by the head coach.

To fulfill this role effectively, the assistant coach should be well-versed in the basic fundamental skills of the sport and capable of applying sound teaching techniques when instructing participants.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties assigned by the head coach.
• Assist the head coach with any tasks they delegate.
• Serve as the junior varsity coach.
• Establish and maintain lines of communication and cooperation with:
  • Central office
  • High school principal
  • Athletic director
  • Head coach
  • Students
  • Parents and the community
