Assistant Inventory Operations Manager

About the role

Assist in managing daily inventory operations across multiple locations. Maintain accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly. Monitor inventory turnover, stock levels, backorders, and obsolete inventory. Ensure proper receiving, storage, transfers, and distribution of medical devices. Collaborate in helping maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock. Help Director of Operations implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily inventory operations across multiple locations
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
• Monitor inventory turnover, stock levels, backorders, and obsolete inventory
• Ensure proper receiving, storage, transfers, and distribution of medical devices
• Collaborate in helping maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock
• Help Director of Operations implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency

Reporting & Data Analysis

Help prepare operational reports. Analyze inventory trends, KPIs, and operational performance metrics. Create dashboards and reports that support executive decision-making. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational performance. Present findings and recommendations to leadership.

Auditing & Compliance

Perform routine internal audits of inventory, warehouse operations, and documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, and medical device industry requirements. Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation for regulatory inspections. Assist in preparing for Arthrex audits and inspections. Recommend corrective actions and monitor implementation.

Operations & Process Improvement

Support daily operational activities to ensure smooth workflow. Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements. Assist with developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in special projects focused on operational excellence and business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or operations management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, or Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience
