Working hours for this shift are Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Job Summary The Assistant Inventory Control Supervisor supports the Inventory Control Supervisor in maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating material flow, and ensuring efficient warehouse and production support operations. This role acts as a key link between inventory control, production, and planning to ensure materials are available, accurate, and properly staged for multiple builds. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintain and monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and auditsEnsure all inventory transactions are recorded correctlySupport continuous improvement efforts to reduce inventory variancesCommunicate daily with production teams regarding material availability and shortagesAdjust priorities based on production needs and schedule changesProactively identify and resolve potential material shortagesPrint and distribute purchase orders (POs) as requiredLead and coordinate kitting activities for multiple builds simultaneouslyEnsure kits are complete, accurate, and delivered on time to productionPrioritize kitting based on production schedules and urgencyProvide day-to-day direction to inventory and kitting team membersSupport employee training, performance, and adherence to proceduresPromote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Job Qualifications KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with leadership and present operational information to management in a clear and professional manner. Strong understanding of inventory control practices, material flow, and production support processes. Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions in situations involving a variety of concrete variables where standard procedures may be limited. Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interpret and apply instructions provided in various formats, including written documents, verbal direction, diagrams, and production schedules. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including experience with inventory systems (ERP/WMS), data entry, and standard office software (Excel, email, etc.)Proven ability to lead, guide, and support team members, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
