Assistant Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Aid lead technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites and maintain an organized work area
- Learn to troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems under supervision
- Assist with ductwork installation, equipment change-outs, and system startups
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including filter changes, coil cleaning, and system inspections
- Help check refrigerant pressures, temperatures, electrical components, and airflow measurements
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and diagnostic equipment
- Load, unload, and inventory materials, parts, and equipment for daily jobs
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members on job progress and site conditions
- Complete job-related paperwork, service notes, and documentation as required
- Participate in ongoing training to develop technical HVAC knowledge and certifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- NATE certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and technical competence
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screen
- Clean driving record
