About the role

Buckle is seeking experienced and talented individuals to join our team as an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership.

Responsibilities

• Sales Generation and Guest Service
• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude
• Eager and assertive to answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
• Showcase product utilizing product knowledge and sales education
• Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
• Meet or exceed personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals set by Store Management
• Provide legendary service throughout the store in key areas: Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area
• Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily
• Investigate and navigate how to expand Guest selection through inventory management, advanced product search, iPad apps, etc.
• Lead by example with a high level of showmanship, excellent customer service, and attentiveness
• Recognize and communicate Guest Levels with the Team
• Coachable; consistently welcomes feedback from Manager to improve sales presentations
• Passionate about product education and showmanship to create results
• Plan sales goals with Store Manager
• Execute actions from department calendars and track on the Weekly Delegation Worksheet
• Demonstrate leadership actions during segments
• Be vocal and continuously update fellow leaders and Teammates
• Responsible for asking for and remembering Guest names
• Partner with Store Manager to pick store’s education focus and help delegate and implement focus all week
• Help execute all segments to support business goals
• Assist Store Manager in Recruitment of all store staffing needs
• Understand how to explain pay and Buckle Benefits
• Execute and train others on opening/closing checklist
• Complete all scheduled shifts and cover shifts when needed
• Ensure sales floor is consistently sized and new freight is appropriately displayed
• Exhibit ability to create changes to improve store’s overall performance via Performance Tracker
• Foresee and anticipate changes in product and act independently to improve overall visual results
• Own and influence product through zone ownership, exhibiting the ability to recognize and assign Zones and projects to Teammates daily with a specific learning goal in mind
• Partners with Store Manager to delegate, demonstrate, and review all 4 zones
• Confirm Teammates are following through with Visual Standards, Visual library, and Weekly Visual Checklist throughout their shift with a sense of urgency and accountability
