About the role
The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager positions at Buckle are integral to fulfilling our mission of providing the best shopping experience for guests. These roles involve a wide array of responsibilities including sales, merchandising, and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service
- Answer questions about the store and its merchandise
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs
- Share product knowledge and sales education with team members
- Manage and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
- Ensure consistent sales performance and exceed sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals
- Investigate and expand guest selection through inventory management, advanced product search, and iPad apps
- Maintain and build strong guest relationships to foster a client-based business model
- Coach and lead new team members to meet and achieve Buckle's accountability, shift orientation, loss prevention, and sales presentation standards
- Execute actions from department calendars and track on the Weekly Delegation Worksheet
- Show aptitude in recognizing merchandising opportunities and improving overall visual results
- Work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Follow all loss prevention guidelines and handle security risks appropriately
- Execute and teach all point of sale procedures
Requirements
To succeed in these roles, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a passion for fashion and customer service. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
