Assistant in Training

About the role

We are excited to open a new store at the Tanger Outlets Foley in Foley, Alabama. Starting May 1st, we will be hiring many new positions, including Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager roles. These positions are part of a team dedicated to providing the best shopping experience possible for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service
• Answer questions about the store and its merchandise
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs
• Share product knowledge and sales education with team members
• Manage and train new teammates, including leading them in sales and customer service
• Work closely with the store manager and leadership team to achieve sales targets and recruit new team members
• Execute sales goals and maintain a positive floor culture
• Participate in visual merchandising and ensure the store is organized and attractive
• Handle emergencies and cover shifts as needed
• Support recruitment efforts and manage inventory

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One to three months of relevant retail experience or training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new products and systems

Pay

Salary range: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on store and business needs.
