About the role

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager positions at Buckle are integral to fulfilling our mission of providing the best shopping experience for guests. These roles involve a wide range of responsibilities including sales, merchandising, and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service.
  • Answer questions about the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
  • Share product knowledge and sales education with Teammates.
  • Stay updated on current sales, promotions, policies, and security practices.
  • Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals.
  • Use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to meet goals.
  • Investigate and expand Guest selection through inventory management, advanced product searches, and iPad apps.
  • Maintain and build strong Guest relationships to foster a client-based business.
  • Showcase product knowledge and demonstrate showmanship to enhance sales.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate new Teammates.
  • Plan and execute sales goals with Store Manager.
  • Manage and lead the team, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Execute all segments to support business goals.
  • Train and coach Teammates in non-sales positions.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and improved.
  • Handle POS procedures and report security risks.

Requirements

To succeed in these roles, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a passion for fashion and customer service. Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
