About the role

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Additionally, AIT and Assistant Managers perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g. cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership.
  • Share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence.
  • Sales Generation and Guest Service: Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, recommend merchandise, and provide exceptional service.
  • Manage Inventory and Visual Merchandising: Own and influence product through zone ownership, ensuring visual standards are met and merchandising opportunities are recognized.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recognize recruiting opportunities, coach and create relationships with new Teammates, and lead by example.
  • Operations: Work flexible schedules, manage security risks, and follow Loss Prevention guidelines.

Requirements

Must have a strong desire to succeed, be a team player, and have a passion for fashion. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay

$18-$23/hr, with final offers based on various factors including skill set, experience, location, and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on store and business needs.
