About the role

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager positions at Buckle are integral to fulfilling our mission of providing the best shopping experience for guests. These roles involve a wide array of responsibilities, including sales, merchandising, and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service
Answer questions about the store and its merchandise
Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs
Share product knowledge and sales education with team members
Manage and share knowledge of current sales and promotions
Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily
Coach and train new team members
Execute and manage visual merchandise displays
Support recruitment efforts and assist with hiring
Work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Follow loss prevention guidelines

Requirements

To succeed in these roles, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for fashion, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Passion for fashion and a desire to learn about products
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems
