Responsibilities
- Supervise all performances, in coordination with the House Manager, at The Platform's two stages (the Takeda Theater and the Tempo Stage), and other events in The Platform involving audiences or other guests.
- Aid with training and supervising Front of House staff including ushers, coat check staff, merchandise sellers, and volunteers.
- Maintain and monitor all Front of House supplies and submit reorder or maintenance requests as needed.
- Oversee Global Arts Live merchandise inventory, including the preparation of sales tables for events.
- Create and distribute Front of House reports and follow up as needed with customer service issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with box office prior to and during events to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
- Support cross-departmental projects including but not limited to special events, educational and audience engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in house management and/or customer service required.
- Prior Box Office experience a bonus, training will be provided otherwise as this position will provide coverage in that department if needed.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Confidently manage challenging and dynamic situations with the public while maintaining professionalism.
- Work effectively and respectfully with diverse populations in a welcoming manner.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by event schedules.
