Assistant Group Leader (PS 297)

Major Duties

• Affiliate with the group leader to engage in various activities such as sports, recreation, education, arts and crafts, and special events.
• Collect attendance folders and other necessary data.
• Serve as a supervisor for participants during the afterschool program.
• Distribute snacks and assist with cleaning up after the program.
• Monitor and maintain the rules of the program and uphold the afterschool model.
• Collaborate with the group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Comply with all GSS, DYCD, and SACC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must exhibit reliable and consistent work habits, and the ability to work with other youth.
• Must be available during the specified program hours.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Must commit to working from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
