Assistant Group Home Manager
About the role
We are looking for a committed and experienced Assistant Group Home Manager to assist in one of our group homes, apartments or supported living locations. STAR, Inc., is a non-profit located in Norwalk, CT that provides support services to adult aged individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families for over 70 years. This takes many different forms but all with the same goal of improving the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities
- Scheduling and following up for medical appointments
- Helping to monitor the finances of individuals
- Aiding in administering medication with proper certification
- Ensuring individuals' plans are adhered to as indicated
- Assisting residents with grooming, hygiene and personal care when needed
- Working with the house manager to ensure adequate staffing levels and finding coverage when needed
- Learning all aspects that go into making a group home run successfully
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Two years of experience working in a group home/residential or similar setting
- Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
- Positivity and a team-player attitude
Schedule
Full Time. Every other weekend availability is a must.
Pay
$20.60 per hour
