Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in grounds operations at Ohio Health Performance Center, Historic Crew Stadium, and Scotts Miracle-Gro Field
- Assist in day-to-day operations for first team, Crew 2, and academy trainings
- Assist in hosting matches and events at Historic Crew Stadium and Lower.com Field
- Assist in training part-time staff in maintenance practices and equipment use
Desired Experience
- Degree in Turf related field or comparable experience preferred
- Previous experience or working knowledge of professional sports turf standards
- Previous use of turf maintenance equipment/machinery
- Ride-on sprayer usage
Preferred Knowledge or Willingness to Learn
- In-ground irrigation
- Turf stress and disease Identification
- General knowledge of fertilizers
- Basic equipment maintenance
This position will have the opportunity:
- To learn turf growing techniques in unique environments
- To learn and use inground field heating, Subair, and grow lighting
- For overtime
- For membership, registration, and attendance at local and national turf conferences
- To obtain Ohio Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator license
- To pursue other desired career development of interest
