About the role
Jupiter Hills Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the Agronomy Leadership Team at our 36-hole facility in Tequesta, Florida. The successful candidate will primarily support operations on the Village Course while collaborating across Jupiter Hills' 36-hole operation and contributing to preparation for the 2027 USGA Mid-Amateur Championship and the club's anticipated 2028 Village Course renovation.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the daily management of golf course maintenance operations across Jupiter Hills' 36-hole facility.
- Lead, train, and develop team members while fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in all aspects of championship turfgrass management including fertility programs, plant protectants, cultural practices, and integrated pest management.
- Assist with irrigation management, moisture management programs, and precision water application strategies.
- Cook daily assignments and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to club standards.
- Aid in producing the firm, fast playing conditions that have become synonymous with the Jupiter Hills golf experience.
- Utilize modern agronomic technologies and performance analytics to support decision making and resource allocation.
- Assist in planning and execution of capital improvement projects and long-range facility initiatives.
- Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety and employee development.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of management experience at a high-quality facility preferred.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- A valid pesticide applicator license or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and modern golf course management software.
- A desire to advance within the profession and pursue a superintendent role.
