Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach - 9th Grade

About the role

This position serves as Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach for the 9th Grade at Hastings High School. The Athletic Director and Principal provide overall job objectives and observe performance.

Responsibilities

• Advise, coordinate, and support the athletic personnel for the 9th Grade team.
• May provide support to the Junior-Varsity, B-Squad and/or Varsity teams, according to expectations of the Head Coach, Athletic Director and Principal.
• Coordinate the instruction, training, and development of all athletes and coaches at this level in volleyball.
• Model a transformational, purpose-driven philosophy.
• Represent a holistic definition of success.
• Commit to personal development and collaboration.
• Display a values-based approach as a coach who develops people first, and then the athlete.
• Coaches the athlete first, and then the skill.
• Coaches for the student-athletes before themselves.

• Has meaningful, rewarding personal coaching experiences.

Requirements

• Successful high school and/or collegiate level coaching experience, and/or related successful experiences in educational leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• The commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with 9th grade students.
• Ability to work effectively with the Athletic Director, Principal, and other coaches.
• Knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations.
