Assistant Girls Varsity Soccer Coach

About the role

Linden Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Athletic Coach to join the Athletics/Activities department. This position supports the athletic program and coaching staff in delivering quality sports experiences for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions
• Provide instruction and demonstrate techniques to student-athletes
• Support the development of athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Assist with supervision of student-athletes during practices and competitions
• Help maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Perform other coaching duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director

Qualifications

• Previous coaching or playing experience in the relevant sport
• Knowledge of sport-specific rules, strategies, and training methods
• Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and staff
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive athletic environment

Pay

Stipend amount determined by the Linden Education Association (LEA).

Schedule

Position available starting June 1, 2026. Practices and competitions follow the athletic season schedule as determined by the district.
