Assistant Girls Soccer Coach - Middle School / Junior High

Department: Athletics/Activities • Reports to: Middle School Athletic Coordinator • Location: District-wide • Hours: Fall season • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt • Union: Unrepresented

About the Role

The Assistant Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for girls middle-school soccer, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness, and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate successful practices and attend meets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
• Motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
• Work collaboratively with Head Coach, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
• Maintain compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Comply with and support all school district regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as determined by the Head Coach or assigned by the district.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay

Per certified extracurricular contract.
