Assistant Girls Soccer Coach

Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for an Extra Duty position: Assistant Girls Soccer Coach at Phoenix High School.

About the Role

Work with the current coaching staff to develop players in the program. Assist coaches at both the varsity and JV levels. Serve as a positive role model on and off the fields. Communicate goals of the program to parents and athletes. Supervise student athletes on the field, in the locker room, and on bus trips. Maintain equipment, accurate records, supplies, and inventory. May include interaction with youth soccer programs in the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student athletes during practices, matches, and travel
• Maintain equipment, records, supplies, and inventory
• Potential involvement with community youth soccer programs

Requirements

• Experience coaching soccer at the high school level preferred
• Must have played soccer at the high school level
• Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and techniques
• Strong communication skills with players, parents, and staff
• Required certifications or ability to obtain them: ASEP/NFHS, First Aid/CPR, Concussion training, Anabolic Steroid training, etc.
• Meet required driver’s training for activity van usage
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and matches

Preferences

• Valid Oregon teaching license
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Pay

As determined by negotiated salary schedule.
