About the Role
White Bear Lake Area High School is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified candidate to serve as assistant cross-country coach. The role reports to the Head Varsity Girls Cross Country Coach and the Athletics/Activities Directors, who provide overall objectives and observe performance.
The coach will instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to foster individual and team success, while also promoting moral values, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and confidence. A strong knowledge of the sport’s technical aspects and the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders are essential.
Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote the Minnesota State High School League "Code of Ethics" to ensure fair play.
- Fulfill all duties expected of an assistant coach.
- Attend all competitions and training sessions regularly.
- Instruct student-athletes on rules, rule changes, and innovative coaching techniques.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of rules and regulations set by the Minnesota State High School League.
- Align with the educational and athletic philosophy and objectives of White Bear Lake Area Schools.
Requirements
- Successful high school and/or collegiate-level coaching experience.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Commitment to developing and maintaining positive relationships between the cross-country program and the local community.
- A valid Minnesota coaching certificate or alternative qualifications.

$4,451
Schedule
3 hours per day; time varies.
