Assistant General Manager - Zanzibar

Responsibilities

• Report to the Restaurant General Manager and support associates by directing daily operations and creating an excellent guest experience.
• Oversee and ensure the proper training of all F&B personnel following the White Lodging Way guidelines.
• Monitor communications, morale, and motivation of all F&B personnel.
• Ensure food, liquor, wine, and other beverage costs are in line with budget.
• Oversee Food and Beverage operations during meal periods, ensuring tasks such as cooking, clearing tables, serving, taking orders, delivering room service, and cleaning are performed in accordance with brand standards.
• Aid with or issue accurate weekly forecasts to enable the creation of effective plans and schedules that maximize guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A passion for service with a positive, can-do attitude.
• An interest in training and developing future F&B leaders.
• Extensive knowledge of F&B operational procedures.
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to any situation.
• Ability to creatively problem solve and deliver results.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies, and equipment.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required; experience with the specific brand hotel or upscale property is an added plus.
