About the role
The role of Assistant General Manager at adidas involves driving store profitability by meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets, managing resources to provide a leading shopping experience, and executing policies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and exceed store sales and profit targets
- Manage resources within the store to enhance customer shopping experience
- Make commercial decisions based on sound financial analysis and data
- Support and coach store team to improve store profitability through operational best practices
- Understand and meet consumer expectations
- Create and drive a service culture by ensuring all activities are centered on the consumer
- Implement strategic plans to deliver seasonal brand and product training
- Lead HR planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and development initiatives
- Ensure store team compliance and drive continuous improvement with all store operational policies and procedures
- Lead service by example and ensure highly visible and effective consumer service management
- Collaborate with peers to drive district team performance
- Communicate a desire to learn and seize all available opportunities for own development and performance improvement
Requirements
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with POS systems and MS Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to make strong independent decisions
- An inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environment
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members
- Willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance
Qualifications
- 4-year college or university degree in business, retail management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a retail environment with a minimum 18 months of Store Management experience
- Experience in managing high-level retail image and delivering consumer in-store experience
