About the role

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leading and driving the daily operations of a CLEAR location. Key responsibilities include overseeing all hourly and salaried team members, driving employee engagement, and managing labor to ensure highest utility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of a team of Ambassadors and Managers utilizing CLEAR technology for airport security, customer service, and sales
  • Business owner for the airport, responsible for executing strategies to meet KPIs and metrics
  • Hire, develop, and sustain a diverse team of talent who deliver on CLEAR objectives related to security, service, and sales
  • Drive employee engagement and foster an environment where team members are accountable for delivering exceptional security and customer service experiences while sharing the CLEAR story
  • Performance manage salaried and hourly team members by evaluating performance on an ongoing basis with the ability to have tough conversations
  • Build stakeholder relationships with TSA, airline, and airport partners; support their needs and inquiries in a timely manner, escalating as necessary
  • Manage labor to ensure highest utility, and oversee payroll and scheduling
  • Spend at least 80% of time on the floor in a customer-facing environment at the airport

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of leadership experience in a high volume, fast-paced, and customer-facing environment (i.e. retail, restaurants, hospitality, rental cars)
  • Self-motivated, positive, and passionate about fostering a great sense of teamwork
  • Prior experience managing both salaried and hourly employees is mandatory
  • High standards, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and commitment to training, mentoring, and motivating your team
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and influence others in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience reviewing and reporting on KPIs on a regular basis
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures set forth by CLEAR, airport, state, and federal regulations
  • Availability to work a non-traditional schedule (i.e. weekends, holidays, early mornings, and/or evenings)

Qualifications

  • Required to successfully complete a government background investigation

The base salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000 / year depending on level of skills and experience.
