Assistant General Manager

About the role

Victra is the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States. As an Assistant General Manager, you’ll get to lead a sales team and create outstanding customer experiences in one of our retail stores.

Responsibilities

• Taking care of guests and confirming that your coworkers have what they need.
• Leading by example on the sales floor and showing your coworkers how to provide excellent customer service.
• Coaching and motivating your team to reach and exceed sales targets and quotas.
• Setting and sharing daily/weekly/monthly goals with your team.
• Providing training and mentoring to help your team deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Identifying and addressing any selling skill gaps to help your team improve.
• Running store operations, including analyzing staffing needs, reporting financial and sales data, handling cash, and ensuring store up-time and functionality.
• Maintaining store cleanliness, monitoring inventory, and leading store merchandising and planogram compliance.
• Completing store opening and closing activities and contributing to the team’s success in meeting store targets.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service within the retail, restaurant, or wireless industry (preferred).
• Experience in a Customer Service or leadership role (1-2 years preferred).
• Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
• Balanced multiple priorities in a multifaceted environment.
• Set goals, evaluate performance, and develop a high-performing team.
• Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift ten pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Compensation

We are proud that our Assistant General Managers make a national average annual salary of $43,000 to $67,000, combining a base hourly rate of $20.00 plus uncapped commission.
