Assistant General Manager

Job Summary

Aid the General Manager in managing both the theater and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional guest service meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Adequately staff the business to meet guest needs.
• Control daily operations through cash control, security procedures, financial report review, and corrective action.
• Operate the business according to company policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, hire, train, and manage employees; plan, assign, direct work, appraise performance, reward, and discipline staff.
• Manage all shifts, including daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling, and planning while maintaining standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
• Maintain a safe work environment for guests and employees.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.
• Aid the GM in achieving the restaurant's P&L and expense goals.
• Promote suggestive selling techniques.
• Behave professionally while fostering a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a salaried manager in full-service, casual dining.
• Experience with full-service alcohol serving facility desirable.
• Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team.
• Some exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable.
