Assistant General Manager

About the role

Hand Cut Chophouse Nashville is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support and elevate our daily operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager to maintain exceptional service and food quality while ensuring a seamless guest experience.

• Support and manage daily restaurant operations, including front and back of house
• Collaborate with the General Manager to uphold high standards of service and food quality
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure efficient coverage
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to enhance performance and engagement
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness regulations per company policies and local laws
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to deliver an excellent dining experience
• Support inventory management and collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain adequate supplies
• Monitor financial performance, including labor costs, to optimize profitability
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus
• At least 1+ years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
• TABC Server Permit required per local law
• Knowledge of front and back of house operations, including food preparation, service standards, health regulations, and safety protocols
• Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and resolving complaints effectively
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams in a dynamic environment
• Ability to manage staff schedules and labor costs effectively
• Effective time management and adaptability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, scheduling software) and Google Suite
