Responsibilities
- Work with and support the General Manager; assume GM responsibilities in his/her absence
- Coach and develop a large and diverse team through clear written and verbal communication
- Manage all facets of the operation, including regular financial reporting
- Establish and uphold Puttery standards and expectations
- Oversee Puttery's defined processes around inventory and reporting responsibilities
- Oversee labor and spending for entire facility, within Puttery guidelines
- Plan and develop a profitable operation through proper cost and inventory control
- Oversee, document, and report complete inventories of Puttery assets on a regular basis
- Implement controls and procedures to eliminate loss of product and labor efficiency
- Track all spending and ensure it is accounted for and in accordance with Puttery's policies
- Develop the team by establishing profitability goals and rewarding positive behavior
- Recruit and hire the best of the best with a “Get it right the first time mindset”
- Set and hold expectations of accountability with management team, upholding brand standards
- Ensure execution of training programs at the highest level to equip our Puttery team to perform their job functions successfully and deliver our Core Values every day
- Create a work environment that promotes staff retention levels above the industry average
- Assure staffing levels meet business needs, while taking into account team member well-being
- Lead and influence through effective motivation, celebrations, and accountability
- Select and develop high-potential staff members to take on greater responsibility and/or internal promotions into higher levels at Puttery
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing a large team in a high-volume entertainment or food and beverage environment
- Able to understand and interpret product sales mix, efficiency reports, product pars, labor reports, yearly budgets, and other corporate reports to develop action plans based on quantifiable data; proficiency in MS Office software
- Able to recruit, motivate, develop, retain, and promote top talent through thoughtful leadership and genuine concern for team member growth
- Work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Operate in a fast paced environment with constant distractions
- Move about our facility and stand for long periods of time; our work is both indoors and outdoors year-round
- Lift and carry over 50 pounds regularly
- Be a Puttery brand ambassador, championing our mission and values
- Achieve budgeted financial results in areas of responsibility
- Act as a mentor and lead by strong example
- Establish positive relationships through clear verbal and written communication
- Maintain a professional image, both internally and externally
- Uphold a high level of personal accountability and decision-making skill
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment with both indoor and outdoor areas
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the venue for extended periods
- Work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Frequent interaction with guests and team members in high-energy settings
- Must remain focused and adaptable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required for setup and inventory support
- Noise levels can be high during peak hours and events
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round
Pay
$65,000 - $72,000 per year
