Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities Providing effective guidance and leadership to the Customer Service Center Team (Drivers, Dispatchers, Office Personnel, and Supervisors)Maintaining a strong safety culture and monitoring safety processes/trainingOverseeing the daily operations (driver, routing, and vehicle activities) necessary to ensure employee and customer satisfactionEnsuring compliance with all applicable Company policies/procedures, local regulations, and government regulationsAssisting with establishing and achieving performance goals that are in alignment with Company objectivesAssisting in the delivery of high-quality customer service and maintaining/enhancing customer relationshipsMeeting regularly with school district administrators to review and enhance service quality and performanceAnalyzing financial performance and reviewing findings with General ManagerResolving a variety of issues and making recommendationsEnsuring continuous improvement in the areas of safety, operations, finance, etc.Assisting the General Manager in identifying growth opportunities in the local areaExhibits the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity; Shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with their supervisor or managerOther duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications: College education preferred or equivalent experience2 -5 years of operations management experienceExperience working in the student transportation or ground transportation industry preferredStrong results-oriented leadership skills with proven success in managementStrong commitment to providing excellent customer service and employee relationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and transportation related softwareKnowledge of contract administration principles and practicesBudgetary/fiscal control experience preferredPolicy administration experience preferredWell-developed time-management skills Summit School Services has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with its policies and values, including sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination.
