Essential Responsibilities

  • Aid the General Manager with the overall operation of the hotel.
  • Provide daily leadership and oversight of multiple departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other operational areas as assigned.
  • Assist with Human Resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support accounting functions including daily revenue reporting, accounts payable, payroll review, cash controls, inventory management, and month-end processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction and implement service recovery initiatives to maintain high guest experience scores.
  • Analyze financial reports, labor costs, and departmental performance to maximize profitability.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop department managers and hourly associates to build a high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are consistently met.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and achieving revenue and profitability goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience in a fast-paced full-service hotel environment.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, or Department Head preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hotel accounting practices, financial reporting, payroll, and budgeting.
  • Experience with Human Resources functions, including hiring, coaching, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Experience with Marriott systems is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
