About the role

The Assistant General Manager at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants oversees a multi-faceted high-volume full-service restaurant, with a retail component and Wine Club program. Key responsibilities include managing operations, training staff, and building the Wine Club community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall restaurant operations and complex departments including Service and Tasting Room
  • Adhere to policies and manage assigned operating systems
  • Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations
  • Represent company values and create a respectful, positive, and professional work environment
  • Manage people by: participating in hourly team member hiring, training and verifying team members' understanding of Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, reviewing and approving front of house department schedules in a timely manner, developing other Managers, including all Restaurant and Kitchen Managers, focusing on service & food standards and assisting General Manager with weekly inventory procedures when needed, maximizing financial and operational results, as well as weekly financial reporting and inventory audits with General Manager oversight, building and maintaining Wine Club Community, by ensuring our Front of House Team Members have the training and resources needed to educate guests about our wine club program and invite them to join
  • Effectively operate computer systems including a POS System, Online Team Member Scheduler, Inventory/Ordering software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment and food safety

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Scratch kitchen experience preferred
  • A minimum age requirement of 21 years
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reads, understands and communicates in English
  • Demonstrates financial acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results-driven; able to coach team to hit restaurant targets (i.e. Wine Club Community growth)
  • PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS INCLUDE SERVSAFE AND STATE/LOCAL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for at least 10 hours per shift
  • Must be able to work 50-60 hours per week
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
  • Maintains a professional image by adhering to guidelines listed in the Team Member Handbook

Pay

$70,000-$85,000/year + 10% bonus potential. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.

Schedule

Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays.
