This position requires a strong balance of hospitality, operational excellence, and business acumen, with the ability to lead teams, drive performance, and ensure a consistently elevated guest experience. The Assistant General Manager operates as a true extension of the General Manager, taking ownership of daily operations, supporting all departments, and ensuring alignment with the overall vision and standards of the restaurant. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop all front-of-house team members, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and growthAct as a mentor and resource for department leads, including Hosts, Servers, and Bar leadershipSupport hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management across all positionsMaintain a strong presence on the floor, leading service and setting the tone for the team Guest Experience & Service Standards Drive an exceptional, consistent guest experience by upholding and enforcing all service standardsActively engage with guests, building relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visitHandle guest concerns and escalations with confidence, urgency, and professionalismContinuously look for opportunities to elevate the overall dining experience Operational Oversight Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departmentsManage floor flow, staffing levels, and service pacing in real timeEnsure all systems, procedures, and standards are executed consistentlySupport opening and closing operations, including oversight of all service areas Financial & Business Performance Assist in managing labor, scheduling, and cost controls to meet business goalsMonitor sales performance, productivity, and operational metricsSupport budget adherence and identify opportunities to improve profitabilityEnsure proper handling of cash, comps, and discounts in alignment with company standards Communication & Collaboration Partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to align on goals, priorities, and performanceMaintain clear and consistent communication with all departments, including kitchen and barLead pre-shift meetings and ongoing team communication to ensure alignment and preparedness Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and professional environment throughout the restaurantUphold company policies, procedures, and expectations at all times
