Assistant General Manager

About the role

Victra is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a retail store team and drive sales targets. The role involves developing top sales specialists, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Taking care of guests and confirming team members have what they need
• Leading by example on the sales floor
• Coaching and motivating team members to achieve sales goals
• Resolving customer issues and assisting with transactions
• Setting and sharing daily/weekly/monthly goals with sales teams
• Providing training and mentoring to improve customer experience
• Maintaining store operations including staffing, financials, and merchandise management
• Leading store merchandising and planogram compliance
• Completing store opening and closing activities
• Attaining store targets daily/weekly/monthly

Requirements

• Background in customer service within retail, restaurant, or wireless industry (preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in a Customer Service or leadership role
• Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment
• Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals
• Balanced multiple priorities in a multifaceted environment
• Set goals, evaluate performance, and develop a high-performing team
• Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge
• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift ten pounds and stand for long periods

Pay

The Assistant General Manager position offers a base hourly rate of $17.00 plus uncapped commission, with a national average annual salary of $43,000 to $67,000.
