Responsibilities

  • Support the groups corporate governance responsibilities, including subsidiary and affiliated entity as well as KPMG network governance matters
  • Advises on and executes a broad range of corporate transactions and strategic initiatives, including financing matters, minority investments, cross-border KPMG network initiatives, KPMG US structural matters, joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, including drafting and reviewing all related agreements and documents
  • Conducts and oversees due diligence in strategic transactions
  • Presents and coordinates relevant legal matters handled by outside counsel

Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years of recent general corporate experience with a leading law firm and/or with a sizable in-house legal department; experience with public accounting firms or other professional services firms is preferred
  • JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the U.S., including in the state in which their office is located
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high-quality work product in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Client-service orientation with the ability to create effective internal and external working relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking in sensitive and complex situations with the highest ethical standards
