About the role
The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Front Office Manager by overseeing daily front office operations, including the Front Desk, Guest Services, and Valet. This role ensures smooth front desk functions, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and maintains high service standards. The Assistant Front Office Manager collaborates closely with the Front Office Manager to foster a culture of excellence, empower the team, and consistently exceed guest expectations. This individual serves as a role model, demonstrating professional behavior and leading the front desk team to success.
Responsibilities
- Operate as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas.
- Train staff on front desk procedures, service standards, and hotel systems.
- Lead and empower the front office team to deliver exceptional service.
- Recruit, interview, and hire new front office staff.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving issues promptly.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver outstanding service.
- Work with other hotel departments to meet guest needs seamlessly.
- Review and respond to guest feedback across various platforms.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Two (2) years of Hotel Front Desk management experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints effectively.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including reservations, front desk, and guest services.
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures in a hotel environment is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
